Bouvier de l'Entlebuch
Origine et comportement
Proche parent du Bouvier d'Appenzell, cet autre Bouvier Suisse doit son nom à la région d'Entlebuch,
dans le canton de Lucerne, où la race s'est fixée. Tres efficace pour le maintien de l'ordre dans un troupeau de bovins, il
est encore utilisé aujourd'hui en montagne. Bon gardien, il défend avec énergie les maisons ou les fermes qui lui sont confiées.
Attentif et intelligent, s'adaptant facilement aux circonstances, gentil avec les enfants, il est aussi un chien de compagnie
agréable.

Enca
Congratulations to new NEMDA member Marianne Brauchi of Victoriaville, QC Canada as she
advises that her Entlebucher Enca earned her Canadian Kennel Club Companion Dog Excellent (CDX) title on
April 8th. Enca and Marianne earned two qualifying scores in Utility level obedience on June 24 with scores of 192 and 193.5
out of a possible 200. Those great scores deserve another round of applause and woofs! Enca, whose name is derived from EN
= ENtlebucher and CA = Canada (where she lives), has been diagnosed with PRA C. At 5 years of age, Enca is still active in
obedience, agility, and tracking and Marianne is hoping Enca's eyes stay healthy for many more years. We hope to hear more
exciting achievements in the future for Enca. |
